Fit into the Bikini this Summer

Looking great for summer is one of those things many of us aspire to, yet never really achieve. We have all the hopes and dreams of looking great, however never actually fulfil our promise. So, what is the best way to lose weight and look great in that summer sun?

You Are What you Eat

A lot of looking great and losing that extra few pounds is down to what you eat. Most of us indulge in carbohydrate rich, nutritionally lacking food, which does us no real good and provides little for our bodies aside from energy, which when not burned off adds weight.

Looking great means swapping these foods for ones that are rich in nutrition and really give your body all it needs naturally. One of the most important things when aiming to look great is to have great looking skin. Fruits and vegetables are not only full of vitamins and minerals, but are also great for hydration - especially in their raw state. Eat at least five a day and watch the weight fall off.

Hydration

We've already mentioned the benefits of hydration for losing weight. By ensuring you are well looked after in the water area you significantly reduce the chance of getting hunger pangs. This can be something that really throws diets off in summer , when the weather is that bit warmer and we tend to sweat more. We also lose more sodium when we sweat excessively - so make sure you have some nuts on hand for now and again. They're healthy, full of good fats and great for cravings.

Melons and other water rich fruits are great for ensuring you are hydrated. They also carry a large amount of fibre and make your stomach feel like it's full, even though you've limited the calories you've eaten.

Alcohol

Cutting out alcohol for a few weeks often limits the amount of calories you place in your body. Alcohol is full of sugars and empty of nutrition. This means it can really mean you pile on the pounds. Often, one pint of beer has as much in calorific terms as a bar of chocolate. How many of us would eat six bars of chocolate in a row?

Exercise

Of course, one of the best ways to lose weight and also to tone up your beach body is to do some exercise. Daily deal sites often offer some great deals in classes and this can really aid weight loss when combined with a calorie controlled diet.

Boot camps, martial arts and other exercises can really aid your fight against the flab. One of the problems with dieting is that it lowers the metabolic rate. Human beings are designed to preserve food, as they often have had to starve in the past. By exercising you give your metabolism a kick start and get those results faster.

Beware of Salads

Salads are a great way to replace those empty carbs and other nutrient deficient foods and to aid your weight loss. However, beware of all the salad creams and dressings that come with them. Supermarket salads are especially full of fatty side dressings that make a Big Mac seem like a healthy treat. Supermarket salads are also often full of sugars and other things that really aren't conducive to healthy eating. Make your own salad at home if you tend to bring one to work and save on some lunch money also. Of course a treat is nice now and then and deal of the day sites such as Wahanda.co.uk can help with that.

Frozen

Frozen vegetables are often a great alternative and can really add a lot to your diet for very little. Most frozen vegetables actually offer more nutrients that the supermarket equivalent. This means that they are even better for you. They also are often a lot cheaper and so are fantastic for those dieting on a budget. Look for the deal of the day in supermarkets and you may eat healthier for less.
